This is my gay life.

I am proud to be GAY.

At age 10yrs I first remember thinking that I was gay. I have grown up to my current age of 44yrs and have been openly gay with my friends and family since my teenage years. In business I keep my sexual preference out of conversation with straight people so as to not form any disagreements over our natural differences. I believe that we can look to what we agree on and obviously our sexual preferences are not one of those. If I am asked by a straight person point blank if I am gay I will tell them the truth but I try not to make it an issue. During the course of my life I have been very grateful to many people for helping me to understand and accept who I was. I would like to thank my Dad and step mom for their unfaltering love and support for my entire life. They choose to love me for being me. I am also thankful to my late friend Stu Scott who through his example showed me that being gay was not a disease or a curse but just the way it was. He taught me that it was fun to be gay. I also am grateful to Shari Carlson my acting teacher for 3 years. In Shari's classes I was given an opportunity to not just be gay but express myself with my feelings, my actions, and all that I am. I get teary eyed just thinking of how I was able to reconnect with my feelings.  I now know that I have a right to express my gay feelings.  I also thank Veronica Fedorov my psychological therapist for the 3 years of help she provided. I remember sometimes just being thankful that I had someone that would listen as I processed some old mental baggage. I am gay and I am proud of who I am.
